We have options that will accommodate you and your team, either you come to us, or we come to you.

On Site Courses

Based in Tampa, Florida you can book to attend one of our scheduled workshops with other delegates, or you can book an exclusive session for yourself or your whole team.

Our facilities are state of the art, offering live model scanning in our darkened ultrasound suites. All rooms have large screen monitors to view the ultrasound images direct from our GE ultrasound machines.

There are anatomical needling stations provided to practice in and out of plane needling techniques, as well as performing vascular access insertion.

Conference Events & Workshops

We will attend your conference or workshop and run teaching of prearranged ultrasound skills to delegates and attendees.

Block GuRU can supply all equipment including models, or you can supply the items that we would need to demonstrate the prearranged techniques.

We have a huge amount of experience attending trade days and demonstrating specific companies equipment, let us know how we can help promote your medical equipment at events and teaching seminars.

We Come To You

We will work with you to create a personalized study day for you and your staff. Depending on the number of attendees we will bring an appropriate team to your facility and deliver teaching utilizing either your own equipment and products, or we can supply all items needed.

Do you accept reservations?

Yes, we accept reservations. Please call us or book online through our website.

What are your operating hours?

Courses will normally be run on weekends. Courses start at 0730 to maximize the time we have for hands on scanning.

Is parking available?

Yes, we have a large covered parking garage at the facility.

Will food be provided?

Absolutely! We will provide breakfast and lunch as well as drinks and water throughout the day. If you have any special dietary requests then please let us know before the course so we can facilitate these.

How many people are in each session?

We take a maximum of 20 people per session. This ensures that our faculty can give 1:5 hands on tuition, maximizing the hands on scanning time.

What is covered in the regional anesthesia class?

We start the day with a didactic introduction to ultrasound guided regional anesthesia. The group is then split up into smaller groups and you will rotate between scanning stations. All common blocks as well as some of the newer blocks will be covered during these stations. Live models will be scanned by the participants, under the instruction of the faculty. You will also have the opportunity to practice needling skills on our simulator phantoms.

What is covered in the vascular access class?

We start the day with a didactic introduction to ultrasound guided vascular access. The group is then split up into smaller groups and you will rotate between scanning stations. Live models will be scanned by the participants, under the instruction of the faculty, this helps to understand the anatomy of common areas to place vascular access devices. You will practice access with and without ultrasound for IV’s on our simulator phantoms. You will also learn the skills of arterial line, central venous catheter and PICC/MID line insertion using ultrasound on our simulator phantoms.
